I was able to take a class with Alex Waterhouse-Hayward recently and learned some of the techniques he uses for editorial photography. He has some really interesting and different techniques that I’d like to start using in my own photography (use of wide angle lenses in portraiture, softboxes very close to his subject, keyshifting backgrounds, and scanner photography to name a few).
One of the most interesting techniques he used was triptych narratives. Here’s ones I made during the workshop.
Let me know what you think!
